Sooo, couldn't MS just shift those devs from the likes of Blizzard, Toys for Bob or Sledgehammer to a new studio that could work as a support? Or move them to inXile or even The Initiative?
Like, they fire nearly 2000 people, and then hire a studio formed of people that have just been fired by Embracer. What?

it's more complicated than that, they'd need to relocate and stuff like that. maybe they're not set up for remote working, would take time to do integration, etc, and this stuff with the new studio was already on-going.
