Hi Folks,

Hope you guys are doing well !!!

I have one question, have purchased Samsung focus 1st generation phone from e-bay. ( I am basically from India) . I got brand new unlocked phone.

Bcoz, I had checked with 3 diffn't carrier & all were working fine. So, phone is not unlocked for any single carrier....

Now, I want reset my phone So,after resetting my phone do I need to unlocked it again for my carrier ? OR I got a phone with by default Unlocked OS for India Carrier !!!

Please, advice...

hmm im pretty sure once you phone is carrier unlock even if yo do a hard reset it will NOT re-lock your phone.

not sure about the *dev unlock*

Hm.... That's the problem .. I don't want to take any kinda risk.

Carrier unlock & factory unlock are diffn't thing ? :excl:

That's a carrier unlocked phone - nowhere can I see that states that it's a developer unlocked phone.

A hard reset does not affect the carrier unlock - I've done it myself

Hi,

Hope you guys are doing well..

Today did Jailbreak !! by using "ChevronWP7.cer" method... & it's pretty stable. Just want to know one more thing ..

I have unlocked my phone , so, If I will upgrade my phone OS to Mango/7.5 . Will it lock again ?? After, 7.5 still am I able to transfer/ install 3rd party apps .??

Please advice...
