external blu-ray-usb2 or 3?

does it even really matter, what usb standard I look for with an external blu-ray drive? I mean, usb 2 is STILL more prevailent than usb 3...

that said, is it important? can I go with usb2 and see good reliable disc read performance?

3 is backward compatible, so it doesn't really make any difference. I would get usb 3.
