External monitor not enabling 1920x1200

Hi All,

I was using Surface with external monitor for quite some time. (Windows 8.1)
Today, I installed the latest update on 8.1.
And after that my external monitor is not going to: 1920 x 1200 settings.
The highest it shows is: 1680 x 1050.

How can I update the display driver?

You have probably already tried this, but if you haven't, try plug out the monitor and plug it back in. If that doesn't help it could be a bug in 8.1

I uninstalled the Display driver and it worked.

Hi, I am having the same issue. I wondered if you could be a bit more specific about what you did?

Was it the "Intel HD Graphics Family (Intel Corporation - WDDM 1.3)" driver that you uninstalled? I am s bit nervous about deleting drivers that came with the device (Surface Pro 2 to be exact). If this is the one you deleted, how did you do it and did your Surface just reinstall a display driver upon start up?
