facebook for windows phone

About a month ago my facebook app stopped working on my Windows HTC8x I have tried all the official apps but my facebook can never seem to get the data. The bad thing is my phone uses the facebook messenger so when it's down no texting. anybody have any ideas?

You need to give more detail, also you can still text people via their phone number
