Facebook update now available

Facebook has an update available in the marketplace which is....... nice.

Why on earth is there no indication as to what this update brings?? This appears to be the norm with MS apps although I am not happy with the lack of information. How hard can it be to let us know what all these fantastic updates actually do??

Eh, they rarely come through anyway. People hub doesn't have facebook notifications, just facebook app and Me tile. Might as well have both there so you have a higher chance of actually getting a notification. I don't get toast notifications from the Me tile anyway (not sure if you're supposed to?). You can use it so that if you miss a facebook app toast you can sometimes look at the me tile and see what that notification was without opening any apps.

I can't get a large size live tile, it's all white, am I the only one?

I didn't try this app before the update, but am liking now. The tile shows my background photo and status, and is supposed to give toast notifications on the top of the screen when people message you or reply to a post. I wonder what all the fuss was about :winktongue: So far, it satisfies my FB needs.

The app is way faster with this update.. One thing I noticed..

FB Chat no longer crashes 9/10 times any more. That's good =).

FB app was already 50X faster than when it was on WP7 so with this update I didn't notice another 10% but it's good that it's improving.
