Facebook's "Sorry there was an error" madness

Just moved back from the States to the Netherlands with my newly obtained Lumia 1020. When I got back and tried to open my Facebook app however, the message "Sorry there was an error" appeared. I've read a lot of forums / solutions already but none of them seem to work.
Options tried:
Turning on / off Phone
Soft reset
Hard reset
Uninstalling / reinstalling app
Turning of WiFi
Combinations off the above.
None of them seem to work though. Any other suggestions? Is there a possibility to download an older version of the app?

I really only see this if my WiFi connection or 3G is crapping out...

With the way Windows Phone is winding down using the browser it most likely your best bet.
