Files on demand question

Hello there,

I have not so simple question about demanding files on onedrive.

If I understand it correctly now there are two or three ways how to manage your files on the cloud. The first one being that files are permanently on the computer with some syncing and updating which is not important now. The other one being that the files are never downloaded unless you press the download button on the file. The last one being downloaded on demand.

Now what I'm trying to figure out is this.. I have this file (key) which shall never ever be present at any device unless its demanded for opening the database file. To explain it better I want this file to be always on the cloud, but once I decide to open my database with this key, it than downloads (opens my stuff) and when I'm done with the key, it.. deletes from the cached files. This idea is simply for security reasons and keeping this file on the same machine with the thing it is supposed to lock doesn't make sense.

Is there a way how can this be done? or I want too much from free onedrive account.

If you uncheck a folder you are syncing to your computer, the folder will be removed from your computer. The folder and its contents will still be available online.

It is indeed available online but its not available in the onedrive folder no more.
