Why can't I download flash player on my Nokia Lumia 920 ? He's it is an 8.1 version of windows

I believe Microsoft cut it out of the store on 8.1. I have installed still on my old L920 and it works just fine. But my updated L1020 with Update 1 cannot access it. Even when you update to 8.1 and go to the store you will not be able to find it.

Adobe stopped development on Flash player for mobile devices 2-3 years ago. Neither Windows Phone, Android, or ios have it. It is available on Windows Mobile 6.5 tho :P

Flash is no longer supported on mobile devices because of the amount of resources and power it consumes. HTML5 will do what Flash is supposed to do. However, not all sites have migrated to HTML5 yet.

Oh I thought they were referring to the app that allowed us to download movies and tv shows for free that got taken out of the Store.

Adobe Flash Player? REALLY? IE11 has Flash Player integrated. Of course it's out of date by now because they're newer versions of it running around the net, but the fact remains you can never get Flash Player as a download for mobile devices. I remember seeing a "cloud browser" that has flash player on their servers so you can watch Flash content on it but besides that, there's nothing else.

Blackberry and Android are the only major mobile platforms that can use Flash. Well, not including Win8.1/RT. Android officially dropped Flash, but you can still download an older version as a Firefox plugin, without even rooting. I have it on my stock Nexus 7 (2013).

Blackberry ports it to a mobile version, themselves. Which any platform could still do if they wanted.

I wonder if WP9, or whatever the phone version of Threshold will be called, will have the desktop browser or not (which would mean Flash support if it did.)
