Look at app permissions on the third tab. Don't choose one that requires things like contacts, calendar or location

Flashlight XT is the one I've been using for a long time. It's very simple, no ads, no unnecessary additions. It is just a flashlight.

Somehow this was mentioned some time ago, i am surprised BGR posted this now. I am not sure about a flashlight app that does not have strange permissions, because I use a physical flashlight.
