Nokia started this trend...in the US. I think they still provide them in other countries.

The last time I got headphones in the box with a phone was when I got the BlackBerry 9000 back in 2009.

I'm pretty sure the only AT&T devices that have come with headphones in recent years are the HTC devices that come with the Beats HTC earbuds.

My 1020 came with a pair that matched the body colour, yellow, they felt cheap though so never used them. I later picked up the awesome monster pure over ear headphones

AT&T stopped putting headphones in quite some time ago from my understanding.

My 1520.3 came with some Nokia earbuds in yellow to match my phone. I've yet to use them as I don't use headphones often, but have a Bluetooth set... Anyway I saw a thread where some audiophiles were praising them as very worthwhile. YMMV

Still a pretty cool gesture with the color matching. Little things like that were what made Nokia such a neat company.
