Four times I've dropped my 1520 from waist high

And that's not including all the little drops I've had over the years. No cracks, no scratches, no problems. This thing is a tank! I have a case but it's mostly for show and not for protection.

You are ahead of me! I think I have 2 waist high and a few lower than that... Mine is still working great and my cases have taken the scratches. I'm still 10/10 cosmetically.

ive had 2 waist height drops. both times put a dent in the corner. i replaced the back cover - new phone again.

That's why I prefer polycarbonate to metal when it comes to phones. The phones made of polycarbonate seem to age better.

Still keep my 1520 wrapped in a dual amzer case.
And the back key is marginal due to butt pocket flex.
