friend's sleep eval reports she wakes up more than 10times per night

odd part is she doesn't remember waking up. So I'm thinking is she sleepwalking or is she tossing around too much or is her heart rate too high ?

I wouldnt think so. But Im not sure. On Monday I had an adrenaline inducing dream and woke up but didnt move around. It didnt record that I was awake. Also, I wake up more than a few times a night just to turn on my side and that isnt recorded either. Ask her to check the number of steps she has taken before she goes to bed and after after she wakes up. Maybe that could provide a clue.

It's not unreasonable to think that she woke up and doesn't remember. This happens often during normal sleep patterns.

My band sleep results were always almost exactly opposite of what my Up24 showed. Sometimes, it said I only got 28min of deep sleep over a 7 hour stretch. I felt rested and my Up24 showed 4+ hours of deep sleep. Honestly, I question the sleep data from the band. When I know I've had a bad night, my Up24 showed it. Then band seems to be erratic.

For me, the band seems to work correctly. That is why I was surprised at her findings. Obviously we all are different so her readings could be also correct but I was just wondering what factored into determining 'wake up' condition.

I've always assumed it was some kind of motion. Perhaps turning over in your sleep. "10" is about my normal number, so I wouldn't worry about it.

And it is quite normal if awakened for a short period of time not to remember it the next day.

We've all had that one friend that sleep talks and doesn't remember.

If you don't know who that friend is in your circle, it's you.

Your heart rate drops lower.

Not supported by the graph in my last sleep. It shows me going into deep sleep when my heart rate is still sinking and higher than non-deep sleep. I wouldn't rule out HR as a element, but I think the real answer is "we don't know".

I wake up between 9-17 times a night. I am a light sleeper and that doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Interestingly, I noted that my heart rate went up to 120 during a period of deep sleep. I have surmised that I must have been in REM sleep and having a very bad dream !

people don't remember waking up. a person with sleep apnea may wake up 100 times a night and not know it

10x isn't a concern, I'm always between 5-10x per night.

If your friend is concerned, have her meet with a Sleep specialist...no one on the internet is qualified to judge her sleep health based on the MS Band's readings. Only a sleep study will tell her if she's getting healthy sleep if that's a concern of hers.

I get this as well, waking up 7-10X. This is similar to the BASIS band and the Jawbone UP data.

My band is telling me I wake up multiple times during the night. By checking the time span of when I was in bed verses the time length for when I was asleep I can find a forty minute discrepancy. Occaisonally I can wake up with my legs completely exhausted, like I just ran six miles, (I am a runner). I am getting a little worried at this. Any thoughts?
