from android to New HTC 8X, so far not so impressed :/

Yeah, sorry, but you chose the wrong Windows Phone to switch to. I too chose the HTC 8X since my carrier didn't have any Lumia phones. I wish I waited for the Lumias to arrive. It's quite clear that HTC doesn't care at all about Windows Phone while Nokia is putting 110%.

Why are you sorry about my choices? And seriously, on what criteria can you make a judgement on my choice being wrong, if I am happy with my choices, then my choices are not wrong at all. My HTC handset does exactly what I want it to, in a more reliable fashion than my previous Nokia 620, it also has a really nice higher resolution screen than most Nokia handsets. I had several Nokia's but am most happy with the HTC8X. Nokia may make some nice exclusive apps, but the only one that was important to me was Nokia/Here Drive which is now available on all WP8 handsets anyway.

Sorry you feel that your choices are the reference which everyone else must follow!

Having owned a Lumia 620 for a while, I can say with absolute certainty that it is a little slower, not so slow that it's an issue, but it is noticeably slower than the Lumia 800 I had before it and also noticeably slower than the HTC8X I have now. Where you can see it the most is in the camera app, when adding attachments to emails, and on the Nokia Exclusive version of Bejewelled Blitz, so much so that Bejewelled Blitz is unplayable. Overall I did really like my Lumia 620 though, but the screen becoming unresponsive many times a day eventually drove me to look elsewhere. Haven't had any issues with the HTC handset so far, GDR2 downloaded and installed last night without issue too.
