Has anyone bypassed the ATT Rom to see what you aren't getting?

I noticed that with the ATT Rom the Internet Sharing is disabled it won't connect when you tell it to. It tries but a message comes up on the Fuze saying the provider disconnected you.

So far it seems to be working pretty good and signal strenght seems better then my 8525.

It would be nice if we could modify the home touchflo screen. I like to have my calendar and tasks show up. Seems I can't get tasks to pop up at all.

I found one more thing. If you play music via WM or the touch flo and then press the power button once to power save it kills the music.

there should be a screen on off app if someone developed one..
that would be awesome...

The reason is because if you want to listen to music on speaker you can't since the power screen shuts down. I did learn if you use headphones if the screen does shut off the music will still play.

unlocked to locked

I am very interested in this phone, but I have a few concerns. I have an HTC TyTN II unlocked and want to know...

1. Will my Tom Tom port over, or is the GPS locked down to only ATTs AGPS plan.

2. I have heard that the tethering option is disabled. Is this true?

3. In general, how does switching phones and porting over aps and the like fare? My thought is to wipe all my settings and applications and just copy over contacts, especially since I have the XDA manila 2D on my phone.

4. Has anyone herd of a rom to make the fuze more like unlocked so that I can have access to all its glory?

1) I can't say for sure. I would go to Tom Tom directly and talk to them. People have gotten it to work with google maps and live.com

2) It has been but you can make it so it's not. Sure the xda developers forum.

3) Don't have any apps to move over. As long has it worked on the Tilt it should on the FUZE. Again talk to the software vendor.

4) Search the web and XDA forums.

Remember the phone just came out so not alot of info is out on it.

I do like the phone a lot but would like to tweak it. I will wait till the tweaks get tested by others.

Sure use a rom from xda and you get tethering unlocked GPS. You dont exactly port over applications nor would you want to reimage the internal from a backup. Its ok to do that with PIM but otherwise just reinstall your apps. Some apps generate unlock codes based on a device id and in this case u would have to have the developer reissue and unlock code for the 3rd party app.

Most players have a screen off function that allows the audio to continue to play. I am using a hacked rom so the tweak is already applied to keep streams alive while in power saver mode. Just remember with wm u can do anything u want to do........... Unlike that bb user :D
