Good work, but patience pays. Verizon was last with GDR2, but it also did not brick my 8x, as it did on other carriers.

The Verizon tech was reading the list of fixes and features to me straight from his computer and had it clearing testing on the 15th and today as the commercial availability date so I guess we'll see

Just updated. I was already on the developer preview thing, so all I got was "HTC update."

Also, just turned my phone off and plugged it in. We now have the powered off charging that people were talking about! I guess that's useful if you need to charge in a hurry???

Coming from GDR2 it seems you need to be on wifi to get the push. I was at work all day and we have crap bandwidth there so couldn't download, so I keep wifi off. But as soon as I got near my house, it started downloading. Now it is Preparing to install 100%. I guess that takes some time 20 Mins??

Confirm, I updated last night and so far have not experienced an issue. It took about an hour to do the preparing for update and then once it started updating it only took about 15 min.

Here's the Verizon info sheet on the update...looks to be pretty much GDR3 features...nothing beyond that(?) seemingly from Verizon.

HTC hasn't put up any support info on GDR3 and is still stuck at GDR2 info release....at least that I could find.

Just installed update this AM.

I was expecting Windows Phone 8 Update 3 (GDR3) would take me to Microsoft Update 8.0.10512.142, but it only took me to Microsoft Update 8.0.10501.127.

I wonder why Verizon did not deliver the full update...
