Get 8.1 on rogers lumia 1020?

Hi is there any way that i can get the windows phone 8.1 on my 1020, the phones locked to rogers, if i unlock it can i update it to 8.1 instantly? thanks

If you're asking about the developer preview of WP 8.1, you can get the OS updates directly if you sign up for it.

oh okay thanks I heard the battery's worse than WP8 on 8.1, should i update it to 8.1? Afterall the 1020's battery is so small :s

Battery life is worse, but in my opinion, the extra and improved features are more than worth it.
