Glance - Screen flicker before Glance activates - 920

My Lumia 920's screen flashes white/gray and then darkens when Glance activates. It's as if the backlight of the LCD is turned on and then a split second later the Pure Black tech kicks in to darken the screen except for the clock. The same sequence does not happen if I put my lockscreen background as black and turn on the screen with the hardware button on the side.

Does anybody else have this issue?

Edit: Realized that the same flicker (except faster) happens when the screen turns back on after being off due to the proximity sensor during calls. =( Sigh... Any possible solutions other than relying on Nokia Warranty?

It's a subtle fade-in / fade-out and quick on my wife's and mine as well. I believe this is normal at this point and hopefully fixed in future version of Glance.
