Glance screen

I am using latest update of windows 10 mobile still i am unable to use glance screen. Setting are disapering after few seconds

Yes same here on Lumia 920, latest OS build and done a hard reset.
I have logged this as a problem with Windows Insider feedback so hopefully a Glance app update will come soon as this is the only thing stopping me from updating my Lumia 925 to Win 10.

to see glance screen in w10m b589.29
go to
settings then lockscreen choose a image from "my pictures" and ONLY "my pictures" !!!
now go to extras > glance screen
click enable glance from lockscreen image background
choose detailed app info content display etc and or b/w glance!
click ok
restart if needed (sometimes does the trick!)
voil? done!




make sure everything is updated beforehand! :grin:

Thanks for rreply. But my problem is setting of glance screen are disapering in few seconds. I cant do this.

Hard reset didn't fix it for me when I tried a couple of weeks ago. May try another reset when I have time later this week.

OK I've got it to work correctly.

Had to roll back to WP8.1 using the Windows Phone recovery Tool then down loaded all the updates & finally Windows Insider & back onto Win 10.

Not sure if glance will still work if I do a hard reset on Win 10?

May try a hard reset tomorrow and post back with the results.

So it seems that rolling back to WP8.1 & then updating to Win 10 has sorted whatever issue there was.

It's a Lumia 920 that I've been using to test W10 as a spare device.
I've just updated my daily driver a Lumia 925 to W10 today but had to do a hard reset due to a couple of the settings not opening (touch, network services) but glance settings worked straight away.

I set "my picture" as my lock screen(restarted phone also) but my Glance settings do not list "Background photo or Detailed app status" options like yours???
