Global Posts?

Just curious - some members show two different types of Post Counts. One is Posts and the other is Global Posts - what's the significance?

WC is but one site among others under the Mobile Nations banner.

Post count corresponds to posts on this site, global post count is total across all boards. (iMore, CrackBerry...)
