Just a reminder not that we don't do it already but I still need everyone making a push on these items this month.

The following blatantly copied from and email from James to me.

1. Re-titling of Threads: I've updated the guide on this. Please read it, know it, live it and put into action? I don't want to see any 'crappy' thread titles slip through!: http://forums.mobilenations.com/forums-team-handbook/192-guide-renaming-poorly-titled-threads.htmlhttp://forums.mobilenations.com/forums-team-handbook/192-guide-renaming-poorly-titled-threads.html

2. Unanswered Threads: I want this and the Re-titling of threads to be a part of every mod's day. Ensure that all mods are doing their best to answer any unanswered threads. If they can't, MOVE the thread to a more appropriate forum, or PM/notify another member or mod who might be able to answer the question. Try and think of this as if you were posting the question. Ideally, you'd want your question answered RIGHT AWAY, right? If we can come through on this immediately, think of the pleased users we'll have? we'll get them hooked on the forums right away, and hopefully keep them as members for a LONG time!

3. Improve upon your numbers in the Forums- What can you do to encourage more sign ups, more threads, more discussions?

4. Filling in the 'thread gaps' on new and rumoured devices. When a new device launches or is in hot 'rumor' mode, it's up to us to make sure all of the proper threads are started to make sure we capitalize on what people are looking for. There are 3 ways I'd like us to go about this.
1. Investigate the competition - take a look at the device forum(s) on other sites. See what threads they have started (if any) and take note.
2. Look at our history - The upcoming Samsung Galaxy 4 is a great example. In this case, we can look back at our SG3 forum, note which threads were the 'hottest', and ensure that similar threads are started for the SG4.
3. Get creative. Again, I'm open to YOUR IDEAS on this kind of thing. I don't want our mods to be the ones constantly starting key threads (that looks bad), but if we use our smarts to ensure no 'thread gaps' are found for any new or rumoured device, we're going to boost our traffic, membership, threads/posts and more.

1&2 we are doing already just keep up the great work.

3&4 I have the Ambassadors working on some of this. I would like to hear any suggestions any of you have how can we or what can we do to boost memberships. Thank about new devices and existing devices. What threads do we need to get started and stickied. We don't really have a bunch of rumored devices to discuss right now but we need to be prepared for when we do. Right now we can use the L928 to experiment.

This is all very important to me. We will be going over all of this in our next team leaders meeting I want to make sure we are kicking the other nations asses.

All those goals are good. First and foremost, Mobile Nations is an accessories business. That's how they make their money so we can have forums like this. Maybe we should all add a link to the WPC Store? Just a thought!

You should post something over at the MN. One thing we (Team Leaders) have been talking about is offering a suggested signature. Maybe 2 or 3 different ones that we can chose from that let people know we are on the mod team. Maybe we can incorporate a link to the store in those. You know a sponsored by WPC Store or something like that.

I made the joke in the Skype thread that no one seems to care about today’s update yet the beta announcement for other platforms caused absolute hysteria. In many ways that’s representative of how this forum operates. Complaint threads bury the positives ones fairly quickly.

It would definitely help if Microsoft threw us a bone. Core functionality is broken and needs to be addressed immediately, not with the next big update. No platform is perfect but it’s hard to think about the positives when you’re consumed with the problems.

That means that we as mods/ambassadors spend too much time putting out fires instead of building the community. We’re kind of stuck in firefighter mode until something changes.

With that said, I do believe things are on the upswing. This is just my perception but overall complaining seems to be down.

I don’t think another sticky thread is necessary. A more subtle and sneaky approach could work better. We should post about how WP helps us in our daily lives. For example, emailing Word documents for work or how offline maps really helped save on data charges during a recent trip.

We all (presumably) use several apps on a regular basis. We should promote the useful of those apps and spark conversations that way. Like, “Want do you watch on Netflix? I love the app. I just gotta watch Sliders on break.” Or whatever.

I think people need to be gently reminded that WP still has over 130k apps and that not everything around them is broken.

I think we should add the bar under the avatar like they do at AC to identify us as a moderator.

I was playing with your idea. Came up with this concept. Like their color coded bar with rank, but added WP8 logo. Just a thought, feel free to throw it in the dumpster.

Throw us an orange and green version that both say moderator than we're ready to rock. A purple one for Ambassadors perhaps? What about developers too? Just throwing more ideas into the bertha

I tried to create the different colors for super moderator, moderator and ambassador, but I reached the limits of my gimp skills at the moment. But wanted to get the general idea out.

Can you save it a .psd from GIMP? If so, please send me that (with the various layers intact) and I'll sort it out if you like. I will PM you my email.

Paladin, like I said my Gimp skills are limited. Not even sure there are layers to it. I'll play some more and if can get it to a .psd I'll shoot it to you,

YouTube has some great short tutorials on using layering.

Latest pass.

Cool, will have to circle back to this in the near future. Would be nice to have local team badges on all sites.

James, is there any way to get the color code for the shade they use in our names? Would make it easier to match. If not, no big deal, I'll just keep playing with custom colors.

Nevermind, got them.

Screen print them, add them to GIMP via the paste tool. Then simply use the colour selector tool on the text. That'll do it.
