without SD card support, non removable battery, heavy and design = brick?
No thanks, but enjoy :-P

Guess this refers to a 930?

Appeal of 830 is that it has many of the attributes of an Ativ S ... will take a 128GB SD card ... has a removable battery ... is lightish (but, I accept, nevertheless a bit of a brick).

And, hey, it comes with 8.1 Update 1 from a manufacturer who won't keep its customers waiting for future updates/improvements.

Come on, Samsung. Show a bit of loyalty to your impressively patient customers (apart from me, that is!)

I'd love the 830, but IF I'm gonna swap my ATIV I want at least 2GB RAM as I HATE that when I open a site in IE it refreshes and doesn't stay loaded.

Thanks. But wouldn't you rather wait till Microsoft brings its own mobiles out. Perhaps in 2015.
And it is almost new year.

Nope - the 830 looks like a good 'un - but, as of this moment, I'd still prefer an Ativ S with WP8.1.

I'll push you ! go .. buy now. Shame not to the option of a Samsung model to replace it ! would love to see them push out a galaxy 5 with windows on board.
