GPS elevation not working

For some reason, when I run any gps app, the elevation always show 888 feet, when I live is actually 6700 FT elevation.
On some gps apps it will flash for a second the correct elevation but then go right back to 888 FT,
Any ideas?
I am on a Verizon HTC 8X with the latest software upgrade

Ok, that makes it even more strange, because then your gps doesn't seem to be broken... Unfortunately I don't know what to do about it though... :unhappy:
