I found out before VZW reps.. - he had to check his email to see if it was released. WOW!
First thing I did was try Google maps-- WORKS!! It found me in my house -even which side of the house I was at..
They also changed the keyboard- it pops up like the iTouch or iPhone. Also, a easier "one touch" buttons for the settings like flightmode, flashlight, bluetooth etc. Lastly, the volume control has a new image. it's a round dial on the screen. with tabs for the phone & system. No more of that tiny little icon.
It says to back up your phone via USB.. I did that but the only thing removed were my contacts, & downloaded programs. My pix & music were still on my storage card.

You do have to change your settings back since it resets to factory settings after the installation.
Bing live is giving my problems with "track me" portion but "locate me using gps" works great. It's like a mini Garmin/TomTom/Magellian.
So get rid of the unofficial rom & finally use the long awaiting official release.

Abouth time!
