Green spot during light pictures

If I take a picture of, well, a light there is a green spot that shows up before and after the picture is taken once the camera is pointed at the light...

Now the strange thing about this is that I had the same problem with my 920.. The green spot was always present.... I did not take it on much... But now that I am seeing it with the 1020, I'm thinking that this has to be a firmware problem?

Are you sure that isn't lens flare? That is what it looks like to me and is common on all lens based cameras. Don't want lens flare, try a pin hole camera.

as gizmo says its lens flare ....... can be made better by not pointing at lights directly
