Group Messaging in GDR2 on Verizon?

May be old news, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that Group Messaging will be included in GDR2 for Verizon. At least according to this Windows Phone Blog post. What "There?s also new support for group messaging on Verizon Wireless."

Ok so. What did gdr2 actually change about group messaging? Did it remove the limit on number of people I can text at once. My buddy dropped windows 8 because he could not send mass texts and email. Has that changed. He will come back when it does. Could someone please explain this to me? Thanks all!

I just installed the update for my 8x. It looks like Group Messaging in now available. To be honest, I didn't really notice if I had it before or not but now, after the update, there is an option to turn on Group Messaging. Before the update, I could text several people at once but each reply became a separate text thread. Now, with Group messaging turned on, all texts and replies to a group are on the same thread. Very nice and about time.

EDIT: Ok...its working now, suddenly, but some people that are in my thread that I send still come in their separate threads under their own names. A lil confusing.
