Had the new Lumia 550 a week now, battery life is so bad I'm charging it twice a day !

I've turned off Wi Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, a few apps & it's still the same - took it off charge this morning at 5.30 & was down to 12 % battery by 4pm. I only used mobile data for about 5 minutes today - no calls or anything ! Is there something I'm missing or do I have a bad phone or battery ? Please help !

Check for updates... You should have some hotfixes waiting.

Also, check out what you have running in the background as well. If you have a lot running, that can also eat battery.

Are you in the US? If yes, I read in this forum that 550 was not meant to be a US phone, because none of its LTE bands supported US carries. That makes me wonder, if it is draining constantly searching for signal, not finding any, running the radio at full power? That was an old GSM thing... Battery drained much faster in areas with weak or no signal.

I was going to get L550, but after reading that none of its bands were supported here on T-Mobile US, I gave up.

I'm not sure where you read that. It will most likely come out in the US, but no one knows when. The version that Microsoft submitted to the FCC for testing has all of the T-mobile and AT&T LTE bands supported. They wouldn't submit a phone to the FCC if they didn't plan to sell it.

The international version, as in the ones from Europe, India, etc do not have the bands that will work in the US. I shared links to the FCC documents in the 550 forum if you wish to read them for yourself.
