How do I do a hard reset with an unresponsive screen? I have already done a lot of soft resets. Can't get screen to respond at all.

Those options depend on you being able to turn the phone off. The first sentence says, " Turn off your Nokia 928" With the screen unresponsive, I can't turn it off by sliding down the screen.

Did you actually read past the first sentence?

"If your phone isn’t responding, do the following:
Press and hold the volume down key and power key at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the phone vibrates. The phone restarts."

That is a soft reset and that didn't fix it.

I finally went on to windowsphone.com and sent a signal to erase the phone. That did a hard reset and now I can get the screen to work and set up the phone again.

That is weird. I've never had a soft reset not fix the unresponsive screen and i've had it probably 20+ times.

Well I probably did it a dozen times and it still wouldn't respond. Anyhow, now we know resetting from windowsphone.com works.

You SENT A SIGNAL FROM WINDOWSPHONE.COM to your phone????!!!
Now HOW did you do that?

if your phone is registered to your windows account, you can log in, look under devices, and do it.
