Have you used the OneDrive tagging feature? If so, any pointers on how to mass tag photos?

I just recently discovered the #tagging feature of OneDrive. As there isn't facial recognition, I am trying to tag my kids and my wife in photos. Where I have thousands of photos it will be very time consuming. Looking for any pointers. I think it would be great if they would allow you to add the tags right when you take a picture. What do you think?
