Headset button not working?

Whats going on here, I am using the pair of Nokia headphones that came with my L920 as my L930 didn't have any, but anyway I have discovered the mic nor the button work on my L930, I thought maybe just the headphones, so tried a pair from a Samsung S5, Same thing.

Try after you put the plug in to get it out a little bit. That worked for some.
Not sure if it works for you and if it works I agree that this is not the way it should.
