Hi, just wondering if anyone else was seeing that the step tracker live tile for Bing's Health and Fitness app was not updating in the background.

I've also noticed that the rotating image for the Pictures tile sometimes dies and just shows a transparent tile, that may be because there aren't many images on my phone (but that shouldn't cause a problem...), but I could fix that by hitting shuffle tile image in the settings menu for pictures hub. Health and Fitness tile setting is turned on, and the tile itself does update data, but only when I open the app and leave it open for a number of seconds. Closing the app too soon doesn't update the tile. Strange stuff.

Many other background agents and tiles work and run, however, I've trimmed down how many apps are allowed in the background with Battery Saver, and even put Health and Fitness as always allowed.

Last but not least, Windows Phone 8.1 w/Update (latest Dev Preview updates) + Cyan on Lumia 1520 RM-940.

Actually it's still pretty terrible. At best, it's only slightly better in that it sometimes updates the tile for a one to a few background cycles and then goes on to failure for quite some time. Quite ridiculous for a Microsoft built app, with such a simple task to perform. Should be nothing more than start background task -> query the motion data system with the SensorCore API call -> update tile -> done. Not sure how that manages to go wrong.

I have the same problem and I have to open then app for it to update. I've tried disabling the app running in the background. Stopped other apps from running and then re-enabled it and it still doesn't work properly. Hope they fix it.

They somehow broke all the background stuff in the latest MSN reshuffle. The GPS tracking in H&F doesn't work anymore either.
The app goes into hybernation after 10 min. with Battery Saver on, and after 35 min. without. So it stops collecting your progress.

That makes it useless for tracking your walking/running. It did work perfectly up till the renaming/new updates :-\

I've seen similar. Steps tile does not background update, GPS tracking stops at 21 minutes or 31 minutes. Haven't tracked a complete run yet.
I've also had the GPS tracker show a run on the tile but fail to sync or something and opening the app didn't show that run and soon later it had disappeared.

Don't really want to switch back to another app. Just want this to work again.
