Ok, this one is really weird. I am a techie mom trying to help my daughter. We each have a Yoga 13, and she is home from college for the summer, so last night I set about updating her to Windows 8.1 and all the new drivers from Lenovo. Not only would this get her up to date, but would hopefully solve the problems she was having with her SkyDrive program not syncing properly.
After the update, she had two OneDrive folders--I assume they are the old (now renamed) one and the new Win 8.1 one. To confirm this, I signed into her OneDrive in IE. ***As soon as I did this, Facebook messages from her boyfriend started showing up as notifications in the browser--modern-looking ones, though clearly from outlook.com and NOT from Windows.*** I realized what was happening and closed the browser till we can figure out how to turn them off.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do that! I can't even reproduce them when I'm signed into my own account on my own PC. My daughter is only using a browser to access Facebook--she doesn't even have the Facebook modern app installed. I'd like to continue offering her help without invading her privacy. Any suggestions?
