Can anyone tell me what the difference I between these two rt surfaces. 7XR-00001 / 7XR-00002 .

The reason, best buy's online auction site lists the msrp price for th 7XR-00001 as 299 and for the 7XR-00002 899$. They are both surface rt 32gig, I got into a debate with them over misleading bidders into thinking that they are getting a fair deal for the 7XR-00002 but they said there's a difference, yet I cant find it..

Re: Difference rt

I'm not aware of any Surface RT or Surface 2 that had an MSRP of any where close to $899. In the US Best Buy site a new 7XR-00002 has 64GB and is only $399.99 with black touch cover.

Exactly,

Microsoft - Surface Windows RT with 32GB
Manufacturer: Microsoft

List Price: $279.99
Closing bid: $146.00

Microsoft 32GB Surface RT Tablet
Manufacturer: Microsoft
Model Number: 7XR-00002/CA
List Price: $899.99
Closing bid: $331.11

Re: Difference rt

Dear Elvis,

Thank you for contacting us. The auctions you supplied are for slightly different items. The list price would have been the original MSRP when the item was released, not the market price as of today. It is much like a used card will show the MSRP but depending on the age, the actual market price will be less.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions about this or any other issue.

Re: Difference rt

Could be regional variations as a quick Bing search of 7XR-00002/CA seems to suggest that it's the Canadian version and 7XR-00001 seems to be the international version. Now that I think about it the 7XR-00001 version is the one that I have here in the UK.

So there is nothing different, meaning there is no justification as to why they are listing the list price as having been 899 for one and 299 for the other.. Next step is to contact Microsoft and have them send me the proof in an email so that I can forward it to best buy... They are pretty much scamming people by listings its original price as 899 and everyone bids higher than 300 thinking they are getting a deal. :S unknowingly...
