Help required please - Unlocking AT&T locked Lumia 1020

Hi guys,

Ok so a friend of mine purchased a Lumia 1020 for me off eBay - I dont live in the US and my friend was there on holiday.

My issue with this is that the phone is currently locked to AT&T and I really really want to get this unlocked. I have scoured the forum topics with regards to unlcoking and have checked with pretty much all of the 3rd party unlock sites but to no avail.

I have currently had no luck with the AT&T customer service reps like some of the you guys have - maybe I just dont know how to handle 'em!

Any one that could provide me with some assistance please? Any help would be very much appreciated!

I can provide my IMEI if anyone can use this to get me an unlock code.

What did AT&T tell you was the reason why they would not unlock the device? That it was on someone else's contract?

AT&T aren't the most helpful when it comes to unlocks. I've been trying to unlock my 920 with them for 6 months (purchased off contract) and it's to no avail. And my 1020 they won't even begin to discuss, just a solid "That device can't currently be unlocked."

Ok so I decided to sell the phone back on eBay and go for an unlocked version! Hoorah!

I am in the same boat, at&t server is botched up at the moment and unlockers are cashing on it.
