HELP! Voice Search has stopped working!

I love my Lumia 920, but yesterday the voice option for search, texts, etc just stopped working. It always says "Sorry, couldn't hear anything". Microphone seems to work fine for speakerphone. I'm hopeful there's a fix for this short of trying a hard reset, or going to get a warranty return. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Which cell service do you use? Does it happen if you connect to wifi?

While on Straight Talk, this would always happen to me.

Same has just started with my Lumia 920 also. The only way I have been able to make any difference is if I plug in the headphones with the microphone (as supplied with the phone). Voice recognition then picks up the sounds. I posted here "sorry couldn't hear anything" - Microsoft Community but don't think we will get anywhere as most of the posts on that forum relate to this problem on WP7 a few years ago.

It is quite depressing to see that the problem still exists today. It appears to be a bug where the phone voice recognition doesn't realise the headphone microphone is no longer connected. What is strange is that during phone calls the phone microphone works.
