Help with Exchange Email set up

Hi Every one.

I have HTC Titan with Windows 7.5.

I already set up Hotmail and Gmails accounts and they are going fine.

However, when I attempted to set up my work email account, I am getting an error code: 80072F05: it says Update the date and time on your phone and try again.

Well I got the correct date and time, I called our IT dept, and they gave me the necessary settings, these settings are working with my Iphone, android phone but not with my HTC with windows and IT people say, nothing more they can do.

Can any one of you could help me pls.

I had the same problem. It has something to do with the root certificate not being valid. I'm not an IT person but I believe that it involves making sure that the server name issued on the root certificate is the same. Our IT person was able to fix it. This site might also help:

Thanks so much for your reply, I followed the attached link and reading through the instructions, to somebody of my calibre, it appears a technical minefield.

My IT department is not happy to help me any further, their argument is, if the logging instructions given to me work with iPhone and an android phone, then there is nothing wrong with their side of things. Additionally, considering its UK?s National Health service IT system, they are reluctant to go beyond what they ?normally do?.

I called HTC support team in the UK ? they don?t know what to do
I called Windows support team in the UK ? they say, they don?t provide mobile phone support, hence it has to come via the manufacturer.

So, if anybody out there can advise me ? what should I do next, I really appreciate.

I too have the same issue. I am not able to sync work mails. My iPhone/BlackBerry 9000/Motorola Atrix worked well without any issues.

HTC Titan work mail setup is quite irritating...

Guys can you please suggest me any solution ?
