  • Though Windows 11 and 10 were released, Windows 9 never was.
  • A reference to the unreleased operating system still exists within Windows.
  • A Twitter user has revealed where you can find that reference in both Windows 11 and Windows 10.
For those of you who follow the timeline of Windows releases, you know that Windows 9 never came to be. There was Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and most recently Windows 11, but 9 never got its time in the sun. However, if you know where to look, you can spot glimpses of its would-be existence.
