Hide a folder in Onedrive

This sounds rather extreme but is there a way to hide a folder in OneDrive website so that it is not seen as a selection to sync with by the OneDrive App?

My one drive App keeps reselecting folders that I do not want synced with my computer but still want them retained on-line.
With the old SkyDrive you could create extra folders online that were not part of the standard Documents, Pictures, Videos, Attachments that were not synced.

Thanks I am aware of how to choose which folders to sync, However I continually find that the settings have changed and reselected folders I have unticked. I was asking if there was a way to hide folders in OneDrive much like inserting $ before a share in windows hides it.

In explorer, right click the folders you want hidden, select 'free up space'
OneDrive settings, account tab, chose folders. Unselected that folder, will be hidden from File Explorer.
