MS Edge often consumes 80+% CPU on my Surface 3 when it is apparently idle (i.e. not loading a web page, not streaming audio or video). Task Manager shows that it is "Microsoft Edge Manager" that is running at high CPU usage.
This often happens right after resuming from sleep. It causes Edge to load web pages very slowly - perhaps a minute until a YouTube page is loaded, for example.
If I close Edge and immediately reopen it, the problem goes away.
I'm running Insider Build 17120.1, but this has happened on every build since the last public release (Fall Creators Update), and perhaps longer. The only extensions I have loaded are AdBlock and Translator. I have disabled settings synchronisation.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how to correct it?
Thanks!
