How about a car charger for the Lumia 950?

I don't see any car USB-C chargers available anywhere. The few available on Amazon have horrible reviews.

Thanks, however the context here is about Car Chargers .

? house charger or car charger it still applies. If the cable fools the device into thinking it can charge at a higher amperage, you could have some problems. Type A ports were never spec'd to supported 3A.

Now, I hope the cable that was shipped with our phones is properly built even though it seems almost no other manufacturer can build one correctly. But I suspect it's there mainly as a data cable since type c is so new.

If you read the entire FAQ, it's entirely safe as long as you're using a cable that meets the specification.
