How can I disable Cortana

I dont need my computer to be controlled by an outside source. I did not request this and I don't want it. How can I get rid of it?

Uh, your computer isn't going to be controlled by an outside source. She's part of the software.

As for turning her off, open her, hit the menu button in the upper left, select Notebook > Settings and flip the top switch to off.

Just switch off your location for both phone and pc
