How can I do the following things

I don't use Facebook except for the messenger. I want to continue to use the chat feature in my messaging section but purge the avalanche of dumb **** from the people hub. If it is not possible can someone suggest a good Facebook messenger app.



Second

I want to pin an artist from Xbox music to the main screen. That way I can tap the tile and have their whole discography to play.

1. You can use chat inside of the official Facebook app.

2. Just tap and hold on an artist in Xbox music (either in your collection or the online collection). A menu will appear that includes pinning to the start screen.

I am the wrong person to ask about Facebook apps as I avoid them like the plague. I don't do much in Facebook so the integrated parts are enough for me.

I personally like the Facebook Beta app a lot better. On the other hand, I haven't used the official one since my best friend had it on her Lumia 710. It was really behind the iOS version (I was still using my iPhone 4 at the time). Not sure what it's like now, but I have Facebook Beta on my 920 and really like that one.

I don't care for Facebook at all but its the only way some of my friends communicate, and my mother who refuses to text on her phone will send messages over Facebook so the messenger part is the only part I use. I have Facebook messenger on my Nexus which is awesome because I can chat without having to have any other part of Facebook on the phone. I would love to see that make it to WP.
