How can I fix my laptop after Windows 10 update?

So my Dell laptop automatically updated to Windows 10. I encountered a lot of problems, I could no longer access the toolbar, when the laptop is turned off and turned on again, the screen comes up black and I have to keep restarting it until the desktop appears. I'm wondering if this problem can be fixed and if so would an IT specialist be able to restore my laptop or would I be able to do it myself?

What model is the laptop, I should be able to find out the restore method. Does it eventually boot to the desktop, if so then I should be able to find the drivers which may fix some of the issues you're having?
