How can I get m touchpad working again?

Windows Central Question

touchpad not working correctly.

Can't double click. Have to push down, not click, each time. Also, ICONS, when arrow appears over, let's say Google, a bar appears that says "open". I have had Surface book for about three months now and never had this problem.
