How can I get the store working?

store not working correctly

every time i search for an app on my Lumia 640 lte, the search comes up empty as though the app doesnt exist but i know for sure that facebook is on the store but when i search it comes back saying couldnt find app, i have no idea what to do, i really dont want to wipe my phone as i have alot of things that i need but i cant back up all mu contacts and photos and apps etc...

I am having the exact same problem on a brand new Nokia Lumia 635 I just received in the mail today.

Have you tried hard reset ? Also if you're using wm10, make sure if you're using the latest build, cause older ones (at least for me) had this error.

I think there is a problem with the store right now, as I also cannot search for any known apps (keeps informing me that "we couldn't find a match"). I believer others may be having this issue as well.

The Store is down.
