Windows Central Question

Hey guys,

Hope you're doing well.

Having issues with my Lumia 1520 since yesterday. I've decided to try out a certain battery saver from Windows Store and since my phone does not alight the three keys mentioned. They are responsive but they behave same as when the default battery saver is on - no light.

Battery is now fully charged, the both savers mentioned are disabled (the downloaded one is uninstalled) but there is no change to it. I've tried rebooting the handset, enabling/disabling the default battery save but no luck and I simply can't seem to locate any settings related to these three options.

Any feedback on this matter would be rather appreciated!

Thanks,
Marko

The lights on the buttons light up only when it is dark around you. If there is sufficient light, the capacitive buttons will not light up. You cannot set the lights to always on.

Hey Wam1q,

Thanks for this prompt reply.

Are you certain about this? Had this phone for about 7 month now and the buttons were alight as soon as the phone is unlocked and the default battery saver is not on. After he kicks in he turns of the button lights and basic notifications i.e. Viber, e-mail etc.

Now I'm seeing somewhat a discrepancy:

On the lock screen (the black one where only the clock and the calendar details are displayed) I'm seeing a battery icon but it's the icon same as when the default battery saver kicks in (the shielded one). As I unlock it I see a difference - almost fully charged battery, no shield or anything. Tried rebooting it a few times more, still no change.

Really not sure what is going on at this point.

Thanks,
Marko

Why bother with 3rd party battery apps? Even for stock battery app, I disabled the battery saver mode. Imo, it sucks more battery than what is intended.

Timbre70, was bored at the moment and wanted to look into it to tell you the truth - usually I use only the default battery saver but this kind of behavior I'm seeing for the first time now.

Oh, you're talking about the battery saver icon being stuck on the glance screen. There was someone else with the same problem a day or two ago on here. Lemme see if I can find that thread...

Edit: Here ya go..
