How can I uninstall Developer Preview on my Lumia 830?

Hi Guys, long story short : I subscribed to developer preview and installed the latest one. Is there a way to revert back to latest official 8.1 build (the one that came on the L830 when I got it?

I don't think the image is up there yet. I connected my 830 and the software recovery tool recognized the phone, but there was no image found to restore.

As an FYI, they pushed another DP update yesterday and it seems much more stable so far. I will stick to this one for now.

Install Nokia Software Updater for Retail (NSU for Retail 4.3.2), connect your phone, and click install... It is going to download about more than 1.5GB. The S/W version is 3058.50000.1425.0001 which is Lumia Cyan with Windows 8.1, but it is going to erase all the Phone Memory, backup before install.

NSU for Retail and NSR- Nokia Software Recovery Tool have merged into one application: Lumia Software Recovery Tool 5.0 . Open either of the applications I listed depending what you have and they will both merge into: Lumia Software Recovery Tool 5.0

The image has been there for some time. I flashed my 830 a month ago to get rid of some bugs.

Why would you want to install Lumia Cyan on a device which came preinstalled with Lumia Denim?

It's supposed to be denim and not Cyan. Secondly the software version you mentioned is for older devices.



@OP: Open your phone's battery back. You would see the product code up top. That's what you would need to download

Uninstall Preview for d?velopper and revert back to shipping version

Hi,

Long story short, I would like to revert back to the shipping version which was Windows phone 8.1 (don't know which build) with Lumia Denim so uninstall Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for developer but I am a little bit confused and certainly don't want to brick the phone.

Actually, my Lumia 830 is running the following:
OS version: 8.10.14219.341
Firmware version: 02040.00005.14373.00001
Lumia Denim

If I connect the phone on the PC and run Lumia software recovery tool, it tells me that I can install the software version 02040.00005.14373.00001. So it is the same as I have installed on my phone?????

If I reinstall this software, will I get the shipping version of Windows phone 8.1 with Denim since the Lumia 830 ships with Denim?

Yes, the firmware will stay the same, because with the DP you only can update the OS software. When you recover your phone with this tool, you'll revert to the original OS version which came with your device. It is perfectly safe to reinstall the original software, but keep in mind that it will reset you entire phone. Used it myself to get back to the original software on my 930.
