Purchase Gift Cards (Windows Store and Xbox gift cards works universally across devices in all App stores) and redeem them into your account.

Other than that it isn't really putting money in so much as having Payment accounts on file in your Microsoft Account and choosing one at checkout.

I use Gift Cards, PayPal and Debit Card.

Log into your Microsoft Account > select Manage Account > on the Payment & Billing tab select Payment Options > add payment options.
