How do I block text messages and phone calls from a certain contact?

I do not want to receive any text messages or phone calls from a certain number and want to block it. How do I do this?

If you have a Lumia phone, there is a call+sms filter available.

That site is old, but the data is still relevant.

If you don't have one, your phone may or may not have the feature as it appears to be one that was created by the manufacturer.
I think Huawei models had one.

Scroll through you settings list, if you have one, the option should appear there.

It's good for blocking calls, but it does NOT block incoming text, it will show its blocked but it still shows the text msg in the blocked text so they still come thru and can still read them it just does not put it in your text thread, I want it to block all together, I don't want to be able to read it in my blocked text, it won't keep it from still coming into ur phone, it needs to be updated/fixed so it actually does block the text from coming into your phone at all, Lumia 1020 & 920

Check with your carrier... They can probably assist with advanced blocking of texts, especially if you can show them as being of an obnoxious or harassing nature.

Yea I'm att prepaid, they have that option for 4.99 month if your contract, think that should be fixed in the app
