How do I delete 'Other' on my SD card?

Deleting 'Other' on SD card

I downloaded an app that unfortunately is inflating the other to 3GB on my SD card now. The usual option to go to storage since and deleting 'Other' doesn't work for the SD card. It tells me to hook the phone up to a computer and try and manage it from there. Using that method, there is no data that can be manipulated, even when looking through 'hidden'. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you try to uninstall the app, thus the others also disappear?
Or you can try another method, not sure if this will help, take the SD card from your phone and copy all the content to your computer, then format your SD card then copy back all the content from the computer to the SD card and put back your SD card into the phone.
